Def.:“Sweet little friend with an unexpected sense of humor;” or “my friend I meet for coffee at the pastry shop”
For us, Panita means a dedication to great storytelling, on-budget productions and the ability to work seamlessly with global partners. Our mission is to find unique artistry, work with talent to develop their animated or live-action properties and get them up and running as international co-productions.
Oh, and to drink coffee, eat pastries and have fun! (Okay, maybe not so many pastries…)
“Gears vs. Spooks” is a 52x11 animated action/comedy for kids. Our heroes, Black Piper and Stanley Steam are on a mission to save their world from destruction. It’s a big job for two teens, but they’ve got the skills, the heart and some unique superpowers to master their adventure.
Lina turns ideas into hits. For more than 15 years, she has worked with artists and creators around the world turning their concepts into global brands. Time zones have no meaning for this industrious Panita. During the course of any twenty-four hours, she can be found Executive Producing “Ana the Pirate” (Discovery Kids) in Latin America, giving notes on scripts written in the U.S., acquiring an IP from Europe, promoting the screen industry in Asia and the Pacific, or working as a Producer Attachment for Matchbox Pictures’ slate, including ABC Australia’s live-action hit, “Mustangs FC.”
A graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in economics, Kenny received his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law. He’s practiced law and business affairs in the entertainment industry for over 40 years representing actors, authors, singers and songwriters, writers, directors, producers and production studios, particularly in the area of animation development and production, for both long and short form television, as well as motion pictures. His experience includes negotiating and structuring talent agreements, rights acquisition contracts, and agreements for co-productions, licensing, distribution and all forms of development, production, merchandising and sales.
Rita is a development “fixer.” She is a wiz when it comes to helping clients prepare their original IPs for market and making sales. Her Executive Producer credits include: “Hero:108” for Cartoon Network,” “Teenage Fairytale Dropouts” for Discovery Kids; “Ruby Gloom” for Netflix and an upcoming 6-11 comedy on a major international network. Other development credits include work for Discovery Kids Latin America and several international toy companies. Her book “A Cartoon Girls’ Secret Guide to Developing Kids Comedies That Sell!” will be available soon in Spanish, and is the basis for her popular 2-Day Workshops. Rita has taught her development strategy in countries as diverse as New Zealand, Colombia, Canada and Costa Rica.
